TOPIC : The odhiya is the beast that is sacrificed on the occasion of 'id al Adha the 10th day of Dhul-hijja (12th month of the Hegira calendar)
According to Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)
said, "When the ten days return and one of you wants to practice odhiya (1), that he does not
cut nothing from his hair and skin ".
(Reported by Muslim in his Sahih n ° 1977)
and in another version, also reported by Muslim in his Sahih, the Prophet (whom the
Allah's prayer and His salvation be upon him) said: "Whoever has a beast to slaughter, when is seen the
crescent moon of dhul hijja (2), take nothing from his hair or nails until he
slaughtered his odhiya (1) "
(1) This is the beast that the Muslim sacrificed on the occasion of 'id al adha
(2) that is the evening of the last day of the month of dhul qa'da after sunset

SUJET : La odhiya est la bête que l'on sacrifie à l'occasion du 'id al Adha le 10ème jour de Dhoul-hijja (12ème mois du calendrier hégirien)

D'après Oum Salama (qu'Allah l'agrée), le Prophète (que la prière d'Allah et Son salut soient sur lui)

a dit: «Lorsque les dix jours rentrent et que l'un d'entre vous veut pratiquer la odhiya (1), qu'il ne

coupe rien de ses poils et de sa peau».

(Rapporté par Muslim dans son Sahih n°1977)

et dans une autre version, également rapportée par Muslim dans son Sahih, le Prophète (que la

prière d'Allah et Son salut soient sur lui) a dit: « Celui qui a une bête à égorger, lorsque est vu le

croissant de lune de dhoul hijja (2), qu'il ne prenne rien de ses poils ou de ses ongles jusqu'à ce qu'il

ait égorgé sa odhiya (1) »

(1) il s'agit de la bête que le musulman sacrifie à l'occasion du 'id al adha

(2) c'est à dire le soir du dernier jour du mois de dhoul qa'da après le coucher du soleil
